Petitioners are wholesale wine merchants. They are seeking direction against the respondent no.2 to consider their request for refund of the excess amount of licence fee paid by them for the year 2016-17. According to the petitioners, they have submitted various representations including representations dated 7.7.2017 and 3.11.2017 filed along with the petition for consideration of their request for refund but till date no decision on the said representations has been taken by the respondent no. 2. 2.

Today when the matter came up for hearing, learned counsel nilegaonkar 1/2

914-wp-11544.2018.odt for the petitioners made a limited prayer that this petition be disposed of by directing respondent no. 2 to consider and take appropriate decision on the said representations filed by the petitioners.

Keeping in view the aforesaid limited prayer and without commenting upon the merits of the matter and petitioner's entitlement, we dispose of this petition by directing respondent no. 2 to consider and take appropriate decision on the representations of the petitioners in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within four months from the date of appearance of the petitioners before him.

The petitioners or their representatives are directed to appear before respondent no. 2 on 3rd April, 2018 at 3.00 pm. 5.
