Learned counsel for the Applicant submits that for the offence punishable under Section 37c6(2)((2i( of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Sections 4 and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, )01), the Applicant is in custody since 19.11.)018. The age of the victim is 7c years. The Applicant at the relevant time was )4 years of age. After arguing the matter for some time, learned counsel for the Applicant submitted that as the Applicant is in custody since 19.11.)018, the trial be expedited. Since I am inclined to expedite the trial, learned counsel for the Applicant prayed for withdrawal of the Application. Learned trial Court is requested to expedite the trial and complete the trial preferably within a period of one year from today.
