Applicants/accused by this application are praying for modification of the order dated 8.12.2016 for permitting them to furnish more than two sureties for securing bail by suspending their sentence.

By an order dated 8.12.2016, applicants on release on cash bail of Rs.50,000/- came to be directed to furnish one or two sureties each in the amount of Rs.50,000/-.

19-APPA-22-2017.doc Applicants want to furnish more than two sureties. There is no harm in accepting more than two sureties for securing liberty of the applicants as more than two persons shall be guarantors for securing presence of the applicants/accused before this Court. Therefore, the order:

(1) Application is allowed.

(2) Order dated 8.12.2016 releasing applicants on bail by suspending their sentence is modified to the effect that applicants are permitted to furnish more than two sureties each in order to make out sum of bail bond to the tune of Rs.50,000/-.
