Petitioner's grievance is that the Election Officer has not instituted criminal proceedings against a candidate at the local election though in the nomination form, he had made false disclosures about the criminal cases and pending loans. The petitioner is neither a candidate nor an objector. The entire prayer is, therefore, in the nature of public interest. The concerned candidate has lost the election. No case for issuing direction is made out. The petition is dismissed.
