Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned APP for the State.

The maximum sentence awarded for the conviction recorded by the trial Court for the offence punishable under Sections 332, 504, 506 of the Indian Penal Code is six months rigorous imprisonment. The fine amount has been deposited by the applicant.

The application is opposed by learned APP.

I have perused the judgment and order of the conviction passed by the trial Court. In the facts and circumstances of the present case, since the appeal which has been admitted, is not likely to be heard soon, considering the short sentence and as the applicant was on bail during the trial, there being nothing on record to indicate that the applicant had misused his liberty while on bail, I am inclined to suspend the sentence.

The application is, accordingly, allowed.

The sentence is suspended.

The applicant- Ravindra Manik Shewale is enlarged on bail his furnishing P.R. Bond of Rs.15,000/- with one or more local sureties in the like amount.

The applicant shall attend the Investigating Officer of the concerned police station once in three months on first Saturday of the month between 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a period of one year.

On being released on bail, the applicant shall furnish his contact number and residential address while residing out of these Districts to the Investigating Officer and shall 2/3

keep him updated, in case there is any change. 10.

The applicant shall surrender his passport, if any, to the investigating officer.

The application is disposed of accordingly.
