This is an application for suspension of sentence and for bail.

The police report dated 13/01/2024 tendered by the learned APP is taken on record.

It is the submission of the learned counsel for the applicant that the matter is settled between the applicant as well as the complainant. The complainant does not intend to pursue the case. An attempt was made by the Investigating Officer to secure the presence of the complainant. However, the report says that she is not 1/2

The applicant was on bail during the pendency of the appeal. Considering the short sentence and as the revision application is unlikely to be heard soon, I am inclined to suspend the sentence and enlarge the applicant on bail. 5.

The sentence is accordingly suspended and the applicant is enlarged on bail on his furnishing P.R. Bond of Rs.10,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount. 6.

The applicant is permitted to furnish cash bail surety in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- for a period of 8 weeks in lieu of surety.

The applicant shall report to the concerned police station once in a year, the first Monday of the concerned month, commencing February 2024.

The applicant shall furnish his contact number and residential address to the Investigating Officer and shall keep him updated, in case there is any change. 9.

The interim application is disposed of in the above terms.
