This Hon'ble Court be pleased to issue Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate Writ, Order and or Direction in the nature of Mandamus and direct the Ld. Commissioner of Sugar, at Pune i.e. Respondent No.2, to hold examination and interviews of the Petitioners and other similarly situated candidates holding the requisite qualifications for the Empanelment of Managing Directors, in the Sugar Factories, in the State of Maharashtra in the interest of justice."

Mr. Sawant, learned AGP has placed on record an affidavit dated 2nd August, 2016, filed by Mr.Ashok Vishwanath Gade, Joint Director (Administration), Sugar Commisionerate, Sakhar Sankul, Pune. In paragraph 7, it is stated that the process for examination and interview for selection of the candidates for empanelment of the Managing Directors was completed on 30th April, 2015, and they have already empanelled 100 candidates to be appointed as Managing Directors of the Co-operative Sugar Factories. 3.
