The only prayer made by the petitioner is for a direction to the respondent-Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible.
Mr.Mali, the learned AGP appearing on behalf of the respondent Nos.1 and 2, states that the caste claim of the petitioner is pending before the Scrutiny Committee and the same would be decided as early as possible.
In view of the aforesaid, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the Respondent No.2 - Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste 1 / 2
wp.280.2015_24.doc claim of the petitioner within a period of 6 months from the date of the appearance of the petitioner before the committee. The petitioner undertakes to appear before the committee on 2.2.2015. Since the petitioner was not at fault in not producing the caste validity certificate, the education of the petitioner is protected till the caste claim is decided. Order accordingly. No costs.
