This is an application received through Jail. The applicant has stated that he is suffering from Diabetes and was taking treatment in Sir J.J.Hospital, Mumbai regularly. He has stated that he is accused in NDPS Case No.155/2012 and the trial of the said case is not yet started. In view of the statement made by the applicant in the application, the report was called from the Medical Officer, Mumbai Central Prison about the health condition of the applicant. The Chief Medical officer, Mumbai Central Prison submitted a report dated 15.1.2016 thereby stating that the applicant herein is known case of diabetes and is taking treatment at J.J. Hospital regularly. That, his condition is stable. The learned Special PP on instructions submitted that as far as NDPS Special Case No.155/2012 is concerned, as of today seven witnesses have been examined by the prosecution and the prosecution is intending to examine approximately 16 more witnesses. As per his estimation, the trial may take approximately nine months for its completion. In

2 /2 view of the above, the learned Judge seized of NDPS Special Case No.155/2012 is hereby requested to make an endevour to conclude the trial pertaining to NDPS Special Case No.155/2012 on or before 31.12.2016.
