1] None appears for the applicant when called out. However, I have just now heard the application for suspension of sentence filed by a co-accused who was convicted in the same case. After considering the merits of the matter, the said coaccused has been released on bail by me just now (in Criminal Application No.382/2014).

2] The case of the present applicant is on par with that of the said co-accused. In the circumstances, I am inclined to allow the application.

4] Pending the hearing and final disposal of the appeal, the substantive sentence imposed upon the applicant shall stand suspended; and the applicant shall be released on bail in the sum of Rs.20,000/-, with one surety in like amount, on the condition that the applicant shall report to the trial Court on the first Monday of each calendar month till the disposal of the appeal. Should the trial Court be closed on a given Monday on account of holiday, the applicant shall report to it on the next working day. 5] A copy of this order be forwarded to the applicant in Prison.

6] The prison administration be required to report the compliance.
