A precipe is filed by the appellant for extension of time to surrender his bail bonds.

The appellant along with others came to be convicted under section 302 IPC read with section 34 IPC and sentenced to suffer life imprisonment in Sessions Case No. 956 of 1988. He thereafter filed the above appeal. The Division Bench of this Court by its judgment and order dated 7th December, 2015 dismissed the said appeal. The appellant was directed to surrender his bail bonds within three weeks.

Mr. Sawant, the learned counsel for the appellant states that the appellant intends to approach the Apex Court to challenge the said order in the above appeal. He submits that the Apex Court however is closed for Christmas vacation from 17th December, 2015 to 4th January, 2016. He also submits that during the pendency of the appeal, the appellant was on bail. 5.

Since the appellant is on bail since the year 1993 and considering the fact that the Supreme Court is closed for Christmas vacation, we extend the time to surrender his bail bonds till 11th January, 2016.
