CORAM :
R.D. DHANUKA, J.
DATE :
26th MARCH, 2018 P.C.
By this petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners have impugned the order dated 10th October,2017 passed by the learned Joint Charity Commissioner, Pune Region, Pune in Revision Application No.60 of 2017 filed by the petitioners inter alia praying for setting aside the order passed by the authority on 17th June, 1954 in Inquiry Application No.25 of 1952. The revision application of the petitioners is rejected on the ground that the application was filed after more than 60 years. Though there is no period prescribed under the provisions of section 70A of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, the revision application is required to be filed within reasonable period. The revision application is filed after expiry of 60 years and thus in my view has been rightly rejected by the learned Joint Charity Commissioner, Pune Region, Pune and does not warrant any interference.
