This is an application of suspension of sentence and releasing the applicant/accused on bail during pendency of the appeal.

Heard both sides and perused the impugned Judgment and Order passed by the learned trial Court. The applicant/ accused is convicted of the offence punishable under Sections 354D and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. On both counts he is sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for six months apart from imposition of some fine.

(11)APPANo.362017 The applicant/accused was on bail during pendency of the trial. The ultimate sentence imposed upon him is that of six months. The appeal will take its own time for disposal. Therefore, the order :

i) The application is allowed.

ii) Substantive sentence imposed upon the applicant is suspended and he is directed to be released on bail on executing PR bond of Rs.15,000/- and on furnishing surety in the like amount.
