These are applications seeking condonation of delay in filing the appeals. The applicants herein are convicted for the offences punishable under Section 395 read with Section 397 of Indian Penal Code and sentenced to suffer R.I. for ten years and fine of Rs.2,000/- in default

Mhi 2 APPA-30-16.sxw R.I. for 3 months. There is delay of 3 years and 278 days in filing the appeals. Since the applicants are convicted and are in jail, they could not approach the appellate Court within the stipulated time. 2.

For the reasons stated in paragraph 3 of the applications, the delay of 3 years and 278 days deserves to be condoned in the interest of justice.

The application Nos. 30 of 2016 and 32 of 2016 are allowed in the above terms and stand disposed of.
