The grievance of the Petitioner is that the representation filed in respect of unauthorized and illegal construction on 26th December, 2016 (Exhibit "D") is pending before the Collector, Thane. It is also the case of the Petitioner that his Appeal filed in exercise of powers under Maharashtra Gram Panchayat Act, 1959 (Exhibit "E") is pending before the Additional Collector, Thane since long.

Today when the matter came up for hearing, a prayer has been made by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner to direct the Collector as also the Additional Collector, Thane to consider and take appropriate decision on the same as expeditiously as possible.

Having regard to the aforesaid limited prayer, we dispose of this Petition by directing the Collector as also the Additional Collector, Thane to consider the representation and Appeal pending before them, respectively, in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within four months from the date of appearance of the Petitioner before the said authorities. 4.

The Petitioner to appear before the said authorities on 17th September, 2018.
