The petitioner prefferred an application for parole on the ground of illness of his mother. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the application was preferred on 9th June, 2016, till today the said application has not been decided.

In view of the fact that the application for parole is pending since a long time, we direct the Competent Authority to decide the application of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Rule is made absolute in the above terms.
