The petitioner is before this Court complaining improper utilisation so far as NAREGA's scheme funds allotted to Gram Panchayat, Gonde. According to the petitioner certain information was collected under the Right To Information Act, 2005, which clarified the position that there is misutilisation of funds by the Gram Panchayat, Gonde and according to him several letters were addressed to Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad (CEO-ZP) right from 2015 onwards and no action came to be taken. Even the Block Development Officer who is officer in-charge of the Panchayat Samiti, has not shown any interest in the matter therefore, he has

2 22 PIL 13-2017.doc come to this Court with Public Interest Litigation after filing a complaint with Law and Justice Department, Mantralaya. Since NAREGA comes under the supervision of Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, we direct the Secretary to the Ministry of Rural Development Department, Mantralaya to direct the concerned Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad to look into the matter by treating the writ petition as a representation. The same shall be inquired and disposed of in accordance with the procedure, within three months from today.
