O R D E R

(i) Appeal is allowed.

(ii) The conviction of the appellant for offence punishable under section 25

(1) (a) of the Arms Act recorded by Additional Sessions Judge, Gadhinglaj vide Judgment and Order dated 29/10/1996 is hereby quashed and set aside. (iii) Fine amount, if paid, be refunded.

(iv) Bail bonds of the appellant stand cancelled.

(v) Legal fees to be paid by the High Court Legal Services Committee to the appointed Advocate Shri. Yashpal Thakur is quantified at Rs. 3000/-. (vi) Appeal stands disposed of.
