Heard learned counsel for the parties 2.

By this petition, the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of the application preferred by him for issuance of passport i.e. Miscellaneous Application No.54 of 2016, as well as expeditious disposal of the discharge application filed in Criminal Case No.987/PW/2008, within two weeks. 3.

Perused the papers. The case is of the year 2008. The petitioner

2/2 903-wp.124.2018 had filed an application seeking his discharge in 2009 and it appears that the same has not been decided till date. Similarly, the petitioner's application for issuance of passport i.e. Miscellaneous Application No.54 of 2016 has not been decided till date.

Considering the aforesaid, the petition is allowed. The learned Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, 28th Court at Esplanade, Mumbai to hear and decide the application for issuance of passport i.e. Miscellaneous Application No.54 of 2016, as expeditiously as possible and in any event within three weeks from the date of receipt of this order. Similarly, the learned Magistrate shall also decide the discharge application filed by the petitioner in 2009, as expeditiously as possible and in any event within eight weeks from the date of receipt of this order. 5.

Petition is allowed and disposed of in above terms. 6.
