By this writ petition, the petitioner challenges the proceeding in the meeting dated 19.12.2015 by which the appointment of the subject committee of the respondent No.4-Municipal Council was made. It is brought to the notice of this Court that the term of the office of the members on the subject committee of the respondent No.4-Municipal Council is one year and the said term has expired in December, 2016. Since by the second prayer made in the writ petition, the petitioner had sought a direction against the respondent No.3-Municipal Council to reduce the strength of the representative of the Indian National Congress Party and Shahar Vikas Aghadi in the subject committee and since the term of the subject committee had expired, the second prayer made in the writ petition would also not survive.

Hence, by keeping the points raised in the writ petition pertaining to the second prayer open, we dispose of the writ petition with no order as to costs.
