Heard learned counsel for the applicant and Mr. Shirsat for the respondent No.3-Passport Office, Pune.

By this application, the applicant seeks renewal of his passport, to travel abroad. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the SQ Pathan 1/2

10-IA-1757-2021.doc applicant is aged 80 years and intends to travel abroad i.e. Australia to meet his children. Learned counsel for the applicant requests that the respondent No. 3 be directed to renew the applicant's passport for a period of 5 years. Learned counsel for the respondent No. 3 states that the respondent No. 3 will renew the passport in accordance with the Passport Act and Rules thereunder.

Accordingly, the application is allowed and the respondent No. 3 is directed to renew the passport of the applicant for a period of 5 years. Application is disposed of on the aforesaid terms. All concerned to act on the authenticated copy of this order. REVATI MOHITE DERE, J.
