This contempt petition alleges breach or disobedience of an order passed by this Court on 1 March 2016. The order required the Respondent-employer not to alter service conditions of the employees represented by the Petitioner union. It is agreed by learned Counsel for the Petitioner that the impugned circular, by which service conditions were sought to be altered, namely, the circular of 18 December 2017, has since been withdrawn by the Respondent by a circular dated 9 July 2018. Hence, there is no need to pass any order in the contempt jurisdiction of this Court. The withdrawal of the circular is, accordingly, noted and the contempt petition is disposed of. ( S.C.
