Mr. Pandey, learned counsel appears on behalf of the petitioner. He undertakes to file vakalatnama on behalf of the petitioner within one week from today. The undertaking is accepted. 2.

By this petition, the petitioner is seeking grant of furlough leave for 30 days to enable him to accompany his wife for her medical treatment. The petitioner, in the alternative, has sought direction to respondent No.1 to forthwith decide his application for furlough leave. The petitioner has not annexed his application made for furlough leave neither has he placed on record the certificate regarding his wife's illness. The learned counsel for the petitioner has also not been able to give particulars of such application. We are, therefore, unable to give any direction for early disposal of the alleged pending application. Shubhada S Kadam 1/2

However, we grant liberty to the petitioner to make fresh application for furlough leave before the competent authority. If such an application is made within a period of two weeks from today, the competent authority shall dispose of the same within a period of four weeks thereafter.
