Having heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned AGP for the State, we are of the opinion that this petition can be conveniently disposed of by directing respondent no.5-Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Kolhapur to decide the representation / proposal dated 10th October, 2012 filed by respondent no.7 (Copy of which is annexed as page 25 to the petition) which is received in the office of respondent no.5 - Education Officer on 10th October, 2012, if

Till the petitioner's claim is decided, the respondents are directed to maintain the status quo as it exists today in respect of the post occupied by the petitioner. The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
