The petitioner has challenged the action of the State Government stating that he is not placed in appropriate category and thereby sought remission.

Mr. Saste, learned APP has tendered across the Bar a letter written by the In-charge Superintendent of Yerwada Open Prison, Class-1, Pune-6 to the office of the Public Prosecutor, Bombay High Court. The same is taken on record and marked 'X' for identification.

Upon perusal of the contents of the said letter, it is abundantly clear that after undergoing the entire sentence, petitioner has been released from jail on 24.02.2016.
