This is an application for bail filed by the applicant who has been arrested in Crime No.3001 of 2016 registered with Dodamarg Police Station, Sindhudurg, for offences punishable under Section 7, 13(1)(d) r/w. Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act. 2.

The applicant is working as an Assistant Engineer with the Maharashtra State Electricity Board. One Shri Pednekar had lodged a

report that the applicant had demanded bribe of Rs.15000/- for giving electricity connection. A trap was led and the applicant was caught while accepting the bribe amount.

The learned counsel for the applicant has submitted that the applicant is in custody since 7 th January, 2016 and that the investigation is completed and his presence is not required in the custody.

The learned APP, upon instructions, concedes that the investigation is completed and that the presence of the applicant is not required for the purpose of investigation. 5.

Considering the above statement, the applicant is ordered to be released on bail on the following terms and conditions:- i) The applicant in Crime No.3001 of 2016 of Dodhamarg police station, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25000/- ( Rupees Twentyfive Thousand Only) with one or two solvent sureties

in the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Special Court at Oros, Sindhudurg.

ii) The applicant shall not leave the jurisdiction of Sindhudurg district till the filing of the chargesheet without prior permission of the Special Court at Oros, Sindhudurg.
