The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondent no. 2 Schedule Tribe Certificate Committee, Pune has not decided the petitioner's caste claim though the same is pending since March, 2016. For want of the caste validity certificate, respondent no.3 has issued notice dated 10.02.2018 asking the petitioner to submit caste validity certificate failing which his services will be terminated.

Having considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, we dispose of this petition by directing the nilegaonkar 1/2

934-wp-2831.2018.odt second respondent Caste Scrutiny Committee to consider and decide the petitioner's pending matter for caste validation as expeditiously as possible preferably within six months from the date of appearance of the petitioner before the said Committee. Petitioner to appear before the said Committee on 2.4.2018 at 11.00 a.m.

Till the petitioner's caste claim is decided by the second respondent Committee, respondent no.3 is directed not to take any coercive steps against the petitioner for removing him from the services for want of caste validity certificate. 5.
