The principal prayer in the petition is for direction to the respondent - police authority to register the FIR on the basis of the complaint submitted by the petitioner disclosing the cognizable offence.

Mr. Warunjikar, learned counsel for the petitioner was fair enough to submit before this Court that during pendency of this petition, the concerned police station, namely, Kothrud Police Station, Pune has registered the offence on 9.7.2020 under Sections 324, 504, 506 and 352 of IPC.
