The learned counsel for the petitioners states that in view of the recent Full Bench judgment, the petitioners cannot seek the protection of their services without getting their caste claim verified. The learned counsel states that in this background, the petitioners give up the prayer for protection of their services at this stage and seek a direction to the Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioners within a time frame. It is stated that the petitioners have submitted their caste

917.WP1287_2015.doc claim to the Scrutiny Committee for verification in the year 2013. In view of the aforesaid, we dispose of the Writ Petitions with the direction to the Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the petitioners as early as possible and positively within a period of 9 months from the date of appearance of the petitioners before the Scrutiny Committee. The petitioners undertake to appear before the Scrutiny Committee on 25th February, 2015. Since the petitioners claim to be in service as on date, the respondent/employer should not terminate the services of the petitioners till their caste claim is decided. Order accordingly. No costs.
