Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP for the respondent-State.

The petitioner has filed a writ petition No. 181 of 2015 challenging the judgment and order of the learned Metropolitan Magistrate and the Sessions Court, convicting her for the offence punishable under section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act. The amount of compensation to be paid by 1/2

12)APPW16.15 the petitioner to respondent No. 2 is Rs.4.5 lacs. The petitioner has deposited Rs.1,12,500/-, in the trial Court during the pendency of appeal.

It appears that the matter is likely to be compounded. The petitioner, therefore, shall be released on bail in the sum of Rs.5,000/- with one solvent surety in the like amount or cash deposit of Rs.5000/-in lieu of surety, on the condition that she shall deposit Rs.1 lac in the trial Court within a period of one week from today.

If the amount is not deposited within the period stated herein above, the bail granted to the petitioner shall automatically stand revoked.
