At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners, at this stage, does not press the prayer, inasmuch as, it seeks to direct the learned Special Judge under the MCOC Act, Thane, to decide the Discharge Application (Exhibit - 162), of the petitioner No.2 - Prashant Bhaskar Mhatre, (original accused No.10) expeditiously. He, however, presses for the other prayer i.e. a direction to the learned Special Judge under the MCOC Act, Thane, to decide the petitioner No.1- Ganesh Gopinath Patil's (original accused No.4) bail application (Exhibit - 173) and the application of the petitioner No.2 - 1/3

Prashant Bhaskar Mhatre, seeking medical treatment, expeditiously. 2.

Learned APP have no objection if any direction is given directing the learned Judge to decide the petitioner No.1 - Ganesh Gopinath Patil's bail application and petitioner No.2 - Prashant Bhaskar Mhatre's, application seeking medical treatment, expeditiously within a particular time-frame.

It appears that the petitioner No.1, is in custody since February 2017. The petitioner No.1 has filed an application seeking bail on 4th October 2021 and petitioner No.2 has also filed an application seeking medical treatment on 4th October 2021.

Considering that by one application the petitioner No.1 is seeking bail and by another application the petitioner No.2 is seeking medical treatment, the learned Special Judge under the MCOC Act, Thane, to decide the petitioner No.1's bail application (Exhibit - 173), as expeditiously as possible and preferably within eight weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

As far as the petitioner No.2's application for medical treatment is concerned, the same to be decided, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within four weeks from the date of receipt of this order. 6.

The learned counsel for the petitioners to place the aforesaid order before the learned Special Judge under the MCOC Act, Thane, so as to enable him to comply with the order passed today. All parties to cooperate in the expeditious disposal of the applications. 7.

Petition is accordingly disposed of on the aforesaid terms. 8.

All concerned to act on the authenticated copy of this order. REVATI MOHITE DERE, J.
