1. Heard Mr. Shenai, Petitioner-in-person and Mr. Pujari, learned AGP for Respondent-State.

2. The present Writ Petition challenges the order dated 06.04.2022 passed by the State Consumer disputes Redressal Commission, Maharashtra, Mumbai whereby written statement of the Respondents has been directed to be taken on record for condoning the delay of two years. The learned State Commission has given adequate reasons for taking the said written statement on record and it needs to be added that substantial period for delay was in fact during the Covid-19 pandemic period which has been exempted by the Supreme Court in Misc. Application No. 21 of 2022 in Misc. Application No. 665 of 2021 in Suo Motu Writ Petition (C) No. 3 of 2020.

3. Any different opinion cannot be taken by this Court considering the adequate reasons returned by the learned Trial Court in the order dated 06.04.2022.

4. Considering the above, I am not inclined to interfere with the impugned order. The said order is sustained.

5. In compliance of Clause-3 of the operative part of the impugned order, Petitioner has already completed evidence and filed the written statement. However, Bank is yet to complete the same.

6. Considering the request made by the Petitioner, the learned State Commission is directed to complete the pending proceedings within a period of 4 months from today.

7. Writ Petition is disposed.
