Heard the learned Counsel for the applicant and the learned APP for State.

The applicant is convicted for an offence punishable under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced to suffer R.I. For 3 years and to pay fine of Rs. 500/- I.d. to suffer S.I. of one month. The appeal filed by the applicant is already admitted. The appeal is not likely to be come up for final hearing in near future. In the circumstances, we are inclined to grant bail to the applicant. 1.appa78.17 is accordingly disposed of by passing following order :

ORDER

(1) The applicant is directed to be released on bail on furnishing P.R. Bond in the sum of Rs. 25,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount to the satisfaction of the trial Court on following condition : (i) The applicant shall report to the trial Court once in 6 months on the date assigned by the Trial Court, Upon failure to attend on two consecutive dates, the concerned Court shall inform the High Court forthwith and take appropriate action.

(ii) The applicant shall also remain present at the time of final hearing of the main appeal.
