By this Petition, the petitioners are challenging the order passed by respondent No.4 - Additional Municipal Commissioner, Pune Municipal Corporation dated 21/12/2018 whereby they have been reverted to the post of sanitary inspector from the post of senior sanitary inspector. There is no dispute that under the service rules of Pune Municipal Corporation, the required qualifications for the post of senior sanitary inspector is graduate degree and diploma in sanitary inspection. Though the petitioners are holding diploma in sanitary inspection, admittedly, they do not possess approved graduation degree from any University.

In the above circumstances, we do not find any merit in the Petition. We may observe that the respondents in the impugned order directed not to recover the difference in the wages of senior sanitary inspector and sanitary inspector already paid to the petitioners. Petition is dismissed.
