This Writ Petition seeks a writ of mandamus directing Respondent No.2 to process the claim for refund of terminal excise duty. The grievance is that the application seeking refund is dated 22nd August, 2014 but it is still not disposed off.

1.wpl.1353.17 We have heard Mr. Deshmukh, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner and Mr. Rana, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the Respondents.

We accept the statement of Mr. Rana, made on instructions, that as soon as the Petitioner complies with the requisitions raised by the Respondents within a period of eight weeks from the date of compliance, the Respondents will dispose off the pending application.

The statement made on instructions is accepted as an undertaking to this Court. Mr.Rana also states that the Respondents will forward the requisitions which have to be complied with by the Petitioner within one week. In such circumstances, nothing survives in the Writ Petition and it is disposed off.
