On 20 January 2022, following order was passed: "

Heard learned Counsel for the Petitioner, learned AGP, learned Counsel for Respondent No. 1 and also the Principal of Respondent No. 3.

From the arguments advanced, it is clear that the Petitioner's admission has been canceled by mistake which the Principal of the Respondent College accepts that it was of the College. Resultant situation is that the Petitioner's admission to the course of Bachelor of by ATUL GANESH KULKARNI Date:

agk 2/3 2-aswp659-2022.doc Engineering has been canceled without any mistake on his part. Only due to wrong entries made in the software by the college that the Petitioner was removed from the admission process.

Though a reply affidavit is filed on behalf of Respondent No. 1 stating that the cut-off date has now passed, we are of the opinion that in a situation such as this where admittedly there is no fault of the Petitioner, the Respondent No. 1 - Commissioner should, if it is possible, consider the matter sympathetically. For that purpose, the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the Principal state that they will visit the Office of the Commissioner - Respondent No. 1 to place before him the fact situation. The Respondent No. 1 - Commissioner is requested to entertain the Petitioner and the Principal of Respondent No. 3 and strive to find out a solution in this situation.

Stand over to 31 January 2022. To be listed under the caption 'For Directions'.

The learned Counsel for Respondent No. 1 states that the Respondent No. 1 - Commissioner will inform the Petitioner and Respondent No. 3 the time and date of the meeting."

Learned Counsel for Respondent No. 1 states that interaction was held by the Commissioner and the admission of the Petitioner is restored. Learned Counsel for the Petitioner also confirms this position and, therefore, the petition stands worked out. 3.

We place on record our appreciation for the efforts taken by the Commissioner - Respondent No. 1.
