This is an appeal filed by the State challenging acquittal of the sole respondent of offences punishable under sections 354, 504 and 509 of IPC.

The Writ Compliance Report dated 23rd January 2018 sent by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Ratnagiri to which report of Ratnagiri City Police Station dated 22nd January, 2018 is annexed shows that the sole respondent viz. Annasaheb Appasaheb Patil has passed away on 3rd September, 2017. The photocopy of the death certificate of the sole respondent issued by the Registrar (Birth and Death) Municipality Malkapur reflecting his death on 3rd September, 2017 is also annexed to the Writ Compliance Report dated 23rd January, 2018. The said report is marked as "x" for the purpose of identification.
