Heard Shri Vaibhav Gaikwad, the learned counsel for the applicant. I have gone through the report received from the trial court.
It is true that the applicant is in custody for a period of more than three years, but from the report sent by the trial court it is clear that the case as well as the cross case, both, are likely to be avk 1/2
902-BA-118-2016.doc disposed of within about two months. Since the trials are coming to an end, it is not desirable to release the applicant on bail at this stage, when throughout, since his arrest, he has been in custody. The application is rejected.
The trial court shall endeavour to complete the trial of the case, and that of the cross case, by delivering judgment in both the cases within a period of two months from today. Liberty to the applicant to apply afresh for bail, in the event of the trial not being over by 10th June 2016. (ABHAY M. THIPSAY, J.) avk 2/2
