Heard the learned Advocate for the Applicant. The learned Advocate invites the attention the Court to an order dated 3 rd July, 2018 passed in Bail Application No.344 of 2018. From the perusal of the said order, it becomes evident that the Court was not inclined to consider the application for bail. 2.
In view of the aforesaid observations, I am not inclined to entertain the application.

The learned Advocate for the Applicant thus seeks directions for expeditious completion of the trial. The Applicant was arrested on 5 th February, 2017.
The Advocate for the Applicant, on instructions, submits that the charge has yet not been framed.

In the circumstances of the case, since the Applicant is in custody for almost five and half years, it may be expedient to request the learned Sessions Judge to SSP 1/2
55 ba 279 of 2022.doc frame the charge against the Applicant, if not already framed, by 30th July, 2022 and make an endeavour to complete the trial by 31 st March, 2023.

In the event the trial is not completed by 31 st March, 2023, the Applicant may revive the prayer for bail.
