In this petition received through jail, there is a challenge to the order dated 8th November 2016 passed by the Divisional Commissioner, Pune by which the application for grant of parole made under the Prisons (Bombay Furlough and Parole) Rules, 1959 by the petitioner has been rejected. There is an appeal provided under the said Rules to the State Government.

It appears that the petitioner has not preferred an appeal.

A copy of this petition shall be forwarded to the Appellate Authority/State Government which is empowered to hear and decide the appeals against the order passed rejecting the application for parole.

crwp260.doc The said Appellate Authority shall treat this petition as an appeal and decide the same as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of six weeks from the date on which this order is uploaded.

A copy of this order and the copy of the order passed by the Appellate Authority shall be forwarded to the petitioner through the concerned Jail Superintendent. Writ petition is disposed of on above terms.
