Rule. By consent, rule is made returnable forthwith. The prayer in the petition is that petitioner- Prakash Dattaram Talwalkar be released on parole on the ground of illness of his younger sister. Parole is sought on the ground that the younger sister of the petitioner is required to be operated upon.

It is seen that application of the petitioner for parole came to be rejected on 14.10.2015, however, the appeal preferred by the petitioner against the order of rejection is

jdk 2 4.cri.wp.268.16.doc pending. In this view of the matter, this petition can be disposed of with direction to the Home Department that the appeal preferred by the petitioner be disposed of as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four weeks from today.

In view of the above circumstances, we are not inclined to grant parole at this stage. Petition is disposed of in above terms. Rule is discharged.

Legal fees of appointed advocate be paid as per Rules.
