Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned APP for the State.

This petition is filed seeking issuance of writ in the nature of habeas corpus directing the respondent to find out and bring back petitioner's daughter Miss Aruna and produce before this Court. 3.

The learned APP placed on record the orders passed by the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Mumbai. The petitioner is the mother of the said child. It is apparent from the record that the said child was rescued as child labour and under the order of the CWC, Mumbai City was initially placed in the custody of CWC Umarkhadi, Mumbai and since the minor girl was from Assam, she was sent under the supervision of the proper police escort to the 1/2

923-wp-269.2016 Chair Person, Child Welfare Committee, Guwahati, Jhaluk Bari near Sunder Bori Masjid, Govt Girls Children Home Guwahati, Assam. The petitioner is always at liberty to apply the Child Welfare Committee, Assam for the custody of the said girl. There is no question of issuing the writ of habeas corpus. Petition is accordingly disposed of.
