None appears for the applicant. Heard learned APP for the State.

I have gone through the papers. The Investigating Officer is present.

The applicant apprehends arrest in respect of C.R. No.425 of 2022 dated 17/08/2022 registered with Shahu Nagar Police Station under Sections 342, 427 and 436 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.

The incident happened on 17/08/2022. It is alleged that the applicant tried to pour kerosene on the main door 1/3
of the informant and set it on fire. The door was locked from outside. The report of the Investigating Officer indicates that the applicant is suffering from schizophrenia/ paranoid schizophrenia and is under treatment at Sion hospital. There are no criminal antecedents reported against the applicant.

Considering the nature of the accusations and the medical condition of the applicant, the custodial interrogation of the applicant is not necessary. 6.
Hence, the following order :-
O R D E R
(a) Application is allowed.
(b) In the event of arrest in connection with C.R. No.425 of 2022 registered with Shahu Nagar Police Station, the applicant-Mohammad Ali Akbar Ali Shaikh shall be released on bail on furnishing P.R. Bond to the extent of Rs.15,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount.
(c) The applicant shall report to the concerned police station as and when called.
(d) The applicant to co-operate with the Investigating Officer.

(e) The applicant shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade him from disclosing the facts to Court or any Police OfÏcer and shall not tamper with eiÞidence.
(f) The applicant shall furnish the details of his residential address and phone number to the investigating officer.
