In crime No.163/2018 for offence punishable under sections 376, 376(D), 328, 363, 366A, 506 read 34 of the Indian Penal Code and under section 4, 5(g) and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 registered with Sawantwadi police station, District Sindhudurg, the applicant is

After hearing for some time, the Court is of the opinion that the report of the Chemical Analyser is very much required to decide the prayer for grant of bail.

Apart from above, it is informed that CCTV footage are produced on record in the trial Court, copy of which shall be made available to the learned counsel for the applicant. That being so, it will be appropriate, in my opinion, to dispose of this application without examining the merits of the matter.

The investigating officer, who is present in the Court assures that supplementary charge-sheet will be filed within a period of eight weeks from today and shall ensure supply of CCTV footage with transcript, if any, and other evidence available on record to the accused. It is informed that the report from the Forensic Science Laboratory in the crime in question is expected. The investigating officer to inform the In-charge of the said laboratory to complete the entire process and submit report within a period of eight weeks so as to enable the investigating office to place the same on record along with the supplementary chargesheet.

After the aforesaid material is placed on record, it shall be open to the applicant to approach afresh before the learned Sessions Court.
