By this contempt petition, the petitioners seek initiation of an action against the respondent nos.2 and 3 under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 read with Article 215 of the Constitution of India for alleged disobedience of the order dated 27th October 2016 described in prayer clause (a) of the petition.

It is the case of the petitioners that though the petitioners have already deposited 65% of the amount for allotment of the alternate land, the respondents have not allotted permanent alternate land under Resettlement Scheme.

Ms.Solunke, learned AGP, on instructions from Dr.Sunil D. Shelke, Tahasildar, Rehabilitation who is present in the Court, states that the respondents will allot and hand over the possession of the land under the said scheme to the petitioners within six weeks from today. Statement made by the learned AGP on instructions from the Tahasildar is accepted as and by way of undertaking to this Court.

It is made clear that while allotting the land, the Tahasildar shall consider the land identified by the petitioners and shall give alternate land subject to availability and eligibility in the time prescribed.

Contempt petitions are disposed off in aforesaid terms. No order as to costs. Parties to act on the authenticated copy of this order. 6.

Place the matter on board for 'Reporting Compliance' on 2nd February 2023.
