CORAM :- M. S. SONAK, J.
DATE :- FEBRUARY 15, 2016 P. C. :- 1.
Not on board. Upon production, taken on board. 2.
The challenge in this petition is to the orders made by the Deputy Registrar of Co-Operative Societies, which orders have been upheld by the Divisional Joint Registrar to the effect that the respondents be granted inspection of the society's record in the presence of Officer on Special Duty ('OSD') deputed by the Deputy Registrar.
URS
2 WP 954-16.doc-P-15 3.
The learned Counsel for petitioner expresses apprehension that the respondents will destroy the records of the society. This apprehension is misplaced, particularly because it is not expected that the respondents will destroy the records in the presence of the OSD. Besides, the learned Counsel for respondents states that there are already CCTV cameras installed for the entire building, including the society office. Therefore, if there is any attempt on the part of the respondents to destroy the record of the society, as has been falsely alleged by the learned Counsel for petitioner, such attempt will be evidenced upon the CCTV cameras.
4.
In view of the aforesaid, there is really no necessity to interfere with the impugned order. However, it is once again directed that this inspection should take place in presence of the OSD i.e. respondent no.4.
5.
With the aforesaid, this petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
6.
All concerned to act on basis of authenticated copy of this order.
