The petition is filed seeking direction to respondents to provide police protection to the petitioner and his family members. The petitioner is also seeking direction to restrain respondent Nos. 2 and 3 from taking any coercive action against the petitioner and or/his family members.

So far as first relief is concerned, the petitioner has already preferred an application dated 2nd January, 2017, to District Superintendent of Police, Kolhapur District, Kolhapur, a copy of which is annexed at "Exhibit D" - Page 37. Suffice it to direct District Shubhada S Kadam 1/2

34. WP 285.17.doc Superintendent of Police, Kolhapur District, Kolhapur, to decide the said application within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of this order. Ordered accordingly.

So far as the second relief is concerned, FIR is filed against the petitioner for offences punishable under Sections 354A (1), 354A (2) and 354D of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Section 66 A of the Information Technology Act, 2008. The application for anticipatory bail preferred by the petitioner is already rejected by the Sessions Court at Kolhapur. We are, therefore, not inclined to grant this relief. 4.
