The grievance raised by the petitioner in his application to the Hon'ble the Chief Justice of this Court is that he was mercilessly beaten in the prison.

The grievance of the petitioner can be taken care of by the higher authorities of prison.

In that view of the matter, we direct the D.I.G. (Prison), Pune to look into the grievance of the petitioner and take an appropriate action, if already not taken, in accordance with law and in any case, within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above observations, writ petition stands disposed of. 5.

Parties to act on the authenticated copy of this order. 6.
