An order was passed by this Court on 4th December, 2021 directing the learned A.P.P to verify whether the appellant has died on 21st May, 2021.

Today, a statement is made by the learned A.P.P that death certificate tendered on behalf of the appellant in this Court is genuine and true.

A photostat copy of the report dated 18th January, 2022 addressed by the Senior Police Inspector of Vikhroli Police Station, Mumbai to the Public Prosecutor of this Court reveals that the appellant Shankar Savlaram Bansode had died due to drowning in SHRIKANT HALKUDE Date: 2022.01.19 15:41:46 +0530 SHAILAJA SHRIKANT HALKUDE
1-Apeal-57-2018.doc the gutter and A.D No.29 of 2021 under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure came to be registered with the said Police Station on 21st May, 2021.

In that view of the matter, appeal abates and hence, stands disposed of.
