This petition can be conveniently disposed off by giving liberty to the petitioner to approach the State Police Complaints Authority under section 22 of the Maharashtra Police Act. Accordingly, the petition is disposed off with liberty to the petitioner to make a comprehensive application/representation to the aforesaid Authority within a period of four weeks from today. With such application/representation, the petitioner shall annex a copy of this petition with all annexures. In case such an

6_wp.313.2017.doc application/representation is made to the concerned Authority, the said Authority shall take a decision on the said application/representation as expeditiously as possible, however, within six months from the date of filing such application. Needless to observe that while taking such decision, if the Authority is of the opinion that the principles of natural justice need to be adhered to, it will be open for the said Authority to follow the same.

With the above observations, the Writ Petition stands disposed off.
